HA Harmonic

WE STILL HERE Graphic Score Performance

General Sheridan Equestrian Statue | North Lake Shore Drive & West Belmont Avenue

Affiliated WOCA Member: Sadie Woods

HA Harmonic is a site-responsive performance developed for We Still Here, presented in situ at the Equestrian Statue of General Philip Sheridan. Centering horn-based instruments and the generative force of breath, the work engages HA as life force—carried through lip-vibrated aerophones including animal horns, conch shells, brass, and the human voice. Prairie-informed graphic scores composed by Sadie Woods are activated by Angel Bat Dawid, Ben LaMar Gay, and Corey Wilkes through layered conch calls, animal-horn sonorities, resonant brass, and vocalizations, forming an improvisational field of harmonic frequencies. Here, breath functions as both conduit and catalyst, shaping a fluid sonic language rooted in traditions of signaling, ceremony, and cultural expressions.
