Join Dance/NYC for an evening of music, movement, and community, in celebration of New York City's dance ecosystem! Featuring music by DJ Ali Coleman, pop-up installations by Home & Abroad BK Drumming Group, Ishita Mili and Mai Lê Hô, LayeRhythm. During the evening, Arturo Lyons and Omari Wiles, the Tony Award–winning co-choreographers behind CATS: The Jellicle Ball will be presented with the NEW YORKERS FOR DANCE Award. All proceeds support Dance/NYC's work advancing equity and opportunity across the field. A limited number of community tickets are available for artists and community partners across the dance field. A reimagining of the classic work by Shakespeare, Othello of the End Zone follows the journey and battles of Imani Othello who must navigate the treacherous world of sports and her own insecurities after being named Head Coach of America's most beloved football franchise. The language is updated, the setting transformed, but the emotional truth is intact: a Black woman at the height of her power, navigating a world designed to doubt her — not as a tragic pawn, but as a fully realized human being. The adaptation explores the price of ambition and asks: "When a woman shatters a glass ceiling, what waits for her when she lands?"

From 6:00pm to midnight, the Luminaria Contemporary Arts Festival will transform Houston Street into a luminous canvas, lighting up downtown San Antonio. Explore anchor locations, including the Centro/Art Everywhere Project, Texas Public Radio, San Pedro Creek, Alameda Theatre, Paseo on Houston, and the Institute of Texan Cultures—each alive with digital projections, sculptures, music, poetry, food, and vibrant art.

This free, outdoor, nighttime festival is an experience of live music, film, digital art, poetry, theater, fine art, monumental installations, dance, and countless surprises—all set against the vibrant energy of the city after dark.

Festival partners include the City of San Antonio Department of Arts & Culture, Texas Public Radio, Centro/Art Everywhere Project, Goodwill San Antonio, Institute of Texan Cultures, San Antonio River Foundation, San Antonio River Authority, Majestic Theatre, and Weston Urban.
